I am getting bounceback emails when sending to Hotmail accounts. How can I fix this?

Generally, this issue only seems to occur when sending emails to hotmail accounts from a mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or another mail program using the SMTP settings of your ISP.

Eg: If your ISP is TPG, chances are you have your outgoing SMTP mailserver address as their mailserver address.

We suggest changing this outgoing mailserver setting to mail.yourdomain.com and ensuring that SMTP authentication is selected.

Once changed, you should not have issues sending to Hotmail or Yahoo accounts as the email will now appear 100% legit as it is coming from the same server that the domain originates from.

Note: This matter only applies when you are using our server as your mailserver. If you host your email elsewhere, this issue does not apply to you and you should contact your email hosting provider or ISP
