- Open Thunderbird
- From the Tools menu, choose Account Settings
- Click the Add Account button.
- Select Email account and click the Next Button.
- Enter Your Name as you want it to appear.
- Enter your full email address username@yourdomain.com in the 'Email address:' field.
- Click on the Next button.
- Select POP3 or IMAP
- Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the 'Incoming Server:' field.
- Click on the Next button.
- Enter your full email address username@yourdomain.com in the Incoming User Name field.
- Click on the Next button.
- Enter the name you want to refer to this email account in the Account Name field.
- Click on the Next button.
- You are almost done setting up your email.
- Click Next
- Highlight the Outgoing Server (SMTP)
- Click on the Edit button.
- Select the Use name and password check box
- Fill in your entire email address in the User Name field.
- Click on OK
- Close the Account Settings window
Now you have completed the setup of your Thunderbird email program.
