Setting up a SPF Record.

Setting up a SPF record for a domain name on the Hightek Hosting nameservers

If you have a DNS zone on our nameservers select it out of the drop down list and hit continue. If you select this option it will automatically generate the SPF record for you and add it into your DNS zone. No other action is required.

Setting up a SPF record for a domain name that is hosted on your own nameservers.

If you would like to generate an SPF record for a domain name that is not on our nameservers enter in the domain name only (for example hightekhosting.com.au) without any prefixes in the second box. You will then take the information in the highlighted box and add it to the same domain name's DNS zone in the WHM. You will access this by going to the WHM and following the steps.

1) Log into the WHM as the root user.

2) Access the Edit DNS Zone page by going to the following: Main >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone

3) Enter in the domain name or select it from the right side list.

4) Scroll down and in the first line of the "Add New Entries Below this Line" section add in the domain name that you are setting up the SPF record for followed by a period. Example: example.com.

5) Select TXT from the drop-down menu to the right.

6) In the next box over add in the information from the SPF generator. Example: v=spf1 a mx ~all
