I have Windows XP Home Edition. How can I access my Windows server via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)?

In order to access a Windows VPS or dedicated server via RDP (Remote Desktop) you require the Remote Desktop Client to be installed in your PC.

If you have Windows XP Home, this is not installed by default, so you are required to download and install it onto your PC.

You can download and install the client here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=80111f21-d48d-426e-96c2-08aa2bd23a49&DisplayLang=en

Once installed you will be able to access servers via RDP (Remote Desktop)
